This three-cylinder, 1049cc engine delivers 13% more horsepower than its predecessor, while delivering reductions in weight, size and fuel consumption. Combined with a 155mm jet pump, this engine delivers quick acceleration, higher top-end speeds, outstanding fuel economy and a more exciting ride.

The VX WaveRunner series offers a combined 93.1 litres of storage space, including a watertight storage unit under the rear seat, a front hatch and glove compartment. All Yamaha WaveRunners utilise open loop cooling, which is used by 99% of marine manufacturers. Open loop systems have been proven to be the most effective, reliable and maintenance free solution for marine environments, which means lower cost of ownership and less time off the water.

Yamaha’s remote transmitter allows the rider to select Low RPM and Security modes. The Low RPM mode limits the top-end speed, improving fuel efficiency, while the Security mode disables the ignition, preventing unauthorised start-ups.  

For additional on-water thrills and spills, a strong built-in tow hook allows for the secure towing of inflatable tubes, wake boarders or skiers. *Previous year model shown.

Yamaha's NanoXcel® ultra-lightweight, high-strength material reduces the weight of the hull, deck and liner by 25%, delivering improved acceleration, fuel economy, top-end speed and handling. Yamaha’s patented RiDE is the world's first dual throttle handlebar control system, that makes handling easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release both levers, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control.

Cruise Assist allows the rider to set a consistent engine speed, helping to reduce throttle fatigue, improve fuel efficiency and help make longer trips more comfortable. No Wake Mode caps the engine’s RPMs at an optimum idle speed (approx. 8 km/h), for travelling through no-wake zones and other restricted areas. 

The specially designed digital display meter provides a wide range of information in a clear and easy-to-read format. The tachometer keeps the rider informed about engine RPM, speed and gear selection, while fuel gauge and hour readouts keep track of available running time.

The theatre-style three-person Cruiser Seat features double top stitching, designed to provide plush accommodations for all-day touring. Separation of the front and rear sections makes maintenance and access to under-seat storage easy.

Incorporating Yamaha’s trademark compact and edgy design styling, the integrated mirrors not only look good but aid rider visual awareness and safety.
